We will meet at the Riverside Community Centre in Dover, where hot drinks are available. Then, we will take a tour through the town and Pencester Gardens, seeing the crystal clear rare chalk stream of the River Stour, and heading to the Sea Front to see the start and end of the North Downs Way and pilgrimage route of the Via Francigena which connects Canterbury to Rome.


Our North Downs Way Ambassadors will share the history of Dover and the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We also see the new interactive art installation titled 'We are all Winners' by Alma Tischlerwood. If we have time, we will also have a chance to see the new marina.


Aļ»æs it's colder, we will be changing to a later session time of 11am to 12:30pm. We can provide blankets, hot water bottles and ponchos to keep you warm.

This location is suitable for mobility scooter/ powerchair users and manual wheelchair users. It is one of the safest and easily accessible of routes and has minimal incline or uneven terrain.
